GARDENING ACTIVITY Gardening is the growing of plants such as flowers, shrubs and trees as a hobby or recreation. A hobby is that activity which is carried on in leisure time. It is a means of recreation and not of earning money. It gives delight and helps in passing the leisure time. Some people also grow vegetables or frui tin their gardens. People do gardening outdoors in the soil in their backyard, or in pots or containers on their balcony or on their patio. Gardening is my hobby. I derive great pleasure from this hobby. At the back of our house, there is a small plot of land. It is my garden. I grow flowers and some vegetables of the season on this plot. Beside this, I have a number of flowers-pots in which I have grown some very-green plants and some flowering plants. I indulge in my hobby early in the morning as soon as I am out of bed, or in the evening after I return from my college. I do not allow my hobby to come in the way of my studies. I carry on gardening
